The 2010 MACSA Spelling Bee will be held at Ambassador Christian Academy in Glassboro, New Jersey on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. The previously scheduled date on March 12th had a conflict with MACSA and ACSI activities.

If your school is planning on attending, please complete the enclosed registration form and return it with your fee no later than March 10, 2010. Please make all checks payable to MACSA and send them to Deborah Hyde, the address is noted on the bottom of the registration form.

The rules are enclosed in this packet and a lunch form for any one who would like to purchase lunch for the day.

This year we would like to ask each school for a volunteer (in addition to those adults who are attending) to participate in facilitating the bee as judges. The requirements for the judges are as follows:

• Spelling Master – Pronounces the word to be spelled and automatically gives a sentence. (One who is articulate, has a good command of the English language, and does not have a dialect that would interfere with the pronunciation of words.)
  
• Recording Judge – Writes down each letter as the contestant spells
  
• Arbitrator/round keeper – resolves questions or conflicts regarding rules or procedures and keeps record of the rounds.
