About the Employer
Concord Christian Academy is a Christian school committed to partnering with parents in the education and training of their children. The mission of CCA is to nurture growth in our students through relationships, excellence, and service with all to the glory of God.
Growth . . . We strive to see each student develop individually and to uniquely grow into the likeness of Jesus. We strive to help each student fulfill the will of God, whatever that may be with their lives.
Relationships . . . We desire that each young person knows Jesus Christ as their Savior and have a growing and personal relationship with Him. We desire that each student have a loving relationship with their parents, peers and teachers.
Excellence . . . Excellence in God's eyes is doing one's best. This is in contrast to the world's standard of having to be the best. As a young person experiences success from his or her best effort, even more effort is exerted toward continued success. We believe in challenging students with this model of excellence so that they can achieve the goal of doing their best in their academic pursuits, extra-curricular activities and in their service to others.
Service . . . We strive for our students to follow the example of Jesus who came “not to be ministered unto, but to minister”. We believe that only when one “loses his life, will he find it”. We believe in following God’s call to service one finds true fulfillment. We strive to demonstrate for our students by following Jesus example to serve. Our faculty and staff strive daily to serve the students the Lord has provided, and to challenge them to serve others in their home, church, school, and community.
To the Glory of God . . . As a Christian school, we too must measure every activity by this high standard; does it bring glory to God? It is our desire and goal to bring glory to God in all that we do.

Immanuel Christian School, Hazleton, PA for 2017-2018 (posted 2/1/17)
Elementary and Jr. High Teaching Positions
Greetings! Our school is in a unique season of growth. We are a small K-12 school of 120 students and 50 of those are new students. Our phone is continuing to ring and we expect that enrollment this Spring will follow the pattern of last year and we will likely have another 50+ new students. Our faculty and staff are amazing and we could not do what we are doing without the grace of God, and the fact that when we all are surrendered and seek Him together, he leads us! We are a diverse school and in short, our primary focus is to be a blessing to the City of Hazleton where our school resides, through the investment in the children in the greater Hazleton area, knowing that if they grow up knowing Jesus Christ, there will be fruit.
We are tentatively expecting to have the following needs for the 2017-2018 school year:
1. All-day Kindergarten Teacher, as we may add a second Kindergarten class.
2. First Grade Teacher, as we may add a second 1st grade class.
3. We have two classes that are currently combined grades: 3/4 and 7/8. Depending on enrollment, we may be splitting those classes, which means that we will need a 2nd teacher to teach either 3rd or 4th grade, and possibly a 2nd teacher to teach either 7th or 8th grade.
We welcome the opportunity to receive resumes, now, and begin the discussion. The direction we go should become clear by the end of March, as we go through February and March enrollment.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, in any subject. Master's Degree is a plus. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Candidates must also be able to walk up and down three flights of stairs as we do not have an elevator in our building. Prior teaching experience is not necessary, as we have a reasonably strong teacher-mentor process for new teachers.
Please submit a resume and cover letter to:
